FOLKS…on 03-03-10AD…a number of Governors  quietly contacted this writer and informed me they are about to declare bankruptcy, their red ink too much to conquer, their constituencies too unwilling to give up their entitlements and perks….and….they’re  ready to throw in the towel and declare they’re without means to fund their respective NANNIE STATES.

WHEN THE TIME COMES to vote for  NANNIE STATE ADVOCATES…the voters might very well evict them from their present positions of power. It won’t matter which party these advocates represent…their association with the NANNIE STATE will be the MARK OF DISASTER.  The likely-voter-pool…both Republican and Democrat alike… are angry about the NANNIE STATE STUFF and want it dismantled and freedom restored.

As a voice of one crying in the wilderness…I have offered a PETITION FOR FREEDOM to guide these potential NEW LEGISLATORS whose JOB and MISSION to revoke, repeal, delete all red tape and taxes, restoring freedom and unhampered markets thereby. In my PETITION FOR FREEDOM….I set forth tenets which are universal to anyone yearning to breathe free. It creates a BIG TENT attractive to every person seeking freedom and opportunity.

Governor Arnold asked me to email him the PETITION. I immediately accommodated his curiosity.  He read the PETITTION and called me back. YES…he agreed with it in every respect. He said, though, there are too many FREE LUNCH RECIPIENTS in California and the PETITION would never succeed.

In retort, I said…FREEDOM always attracts the down-trodden…and California by November of 2012 will be an overflowing boat of  made-needy with  nasty demands. In California…the ONLY thing getting BIGGER is the red ink of the State: the TITANIC  once again heading in the wrong direction.

BUT…unlike Uncle Sam…the ole Terminator…lacks this ability to PRINT MONEY when he needs it. Either he borrows it from some sucker…or…he cuts spending programs. The former avenue is a dead end; and the latter method is politically unacceptable; any advocate for spending-cuts always loses to the oppoent promising even more FREE LUNCH with some scapegoat group to bear the additional red tape and taxes.

LUDWIG VON MISES predicted such RED INK and morass of social unrest should the USA ever attempt to erect the NANNIE STATE with its cradle to grave control and directive. He pointed out the VOTERS guided by PUBLIC OPINION usually get what they want eventually. SURE, they might struggle beneath the burdens of the NANNIE STATE…for a season…but…eventually…someone stands up…and says…NO MORE!

However, LUDWIG VON MISES went on to point out…this SEASON…might last a 1000 years or longer. As people become more like cattle and sheep relying from cradle to grave on the direction and control of their MASTER….the more chance there is the NANNIE STATE will linger.

BUT…sooner or later…there is someone capable of grabbing the State-controlled MASS MEDIA for enough of a moment to engage the audience in imagining a situation where they are free of their YOKE AND CHAIN of the NANNIE STATE. And in that space…FREEDOM will ignite and infect so many…the MASTER won’t be able to contain or stiffle.

THE RED INK OF THE STATES is about to burst through in so many ways…State and local governments will have to reduce their size and services package. Naturally, OBAMA has made efforts to push that eventual CATASTROPHE into the future…at least past November of 2010. BUT…the RED INK MOMENT will arrive and when it does…the citizens of the respective States might decide to delete the NANNIE STATE.
